Henllanfallteg Community Council is the parish council for the Henllanfallteg area, which is made up from the old parishes of Llanfallteg, Llanfallteg West, Henllan Amgoed and a small part of Llangan, in West Carmarthenshire.
Henllanfallteg is one of seventy three Communities that make up the county of Carmarthenshire, formed in the 1930s. It serves the areas of Llanfallteg, Henllan Amgoed, Cwmfelin Boeth, Hiraeth and Rhydywrach
Llanfallteg Memorial Playing Field is not governed by, or control by Henllanfallteg Community Council, since the charity of Llanfallteg Memorial Playing field is an independent charity with its own board of Trustees. The Community Council operates completely separately to the Playing Field, with its own set of elected Council Members.
Henllanfallteg Community Council’s purpose is to represent the local views and act on matters affecting the community. This can include discussing local planning applications, raising concerns with Carmarthenshire County Council, supporting local projects, and how to spend its accessible funds for the benefit of residents.
The Community Council has on many occasions helped Llanfallteg Memorial Playing Field with access to grants and funding, which were used to further benefits the facilities at Llanfallteg Park, and for the residents of the community and afar.
